Order pickers are used intensively, often in 2 to 3-shift operations. Lithium-ion battery technology is highly suitable as it is easier and faster to charge than lead-acid batteries and allows for opportunity charging. This eliminates the need to change batteries during the day, maximising overall productivity rates.
When working in low-temperature areas, it’s advised to keep the trucks in the cold as long as possible to avoid any condensation. CESAB order pickers are available with a heated Li-ion battery option for cold store applications.
